On Monday evening, our school Reading Champion, Mrs Lowndes, and her son Jayden were invited to 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister, to discuss all things reading. Not only is she out school Reading Champion, she's also a Literacy Champion for The National Literacy Trust in Stoke-on-Trent, with her son. She spoke to the Education Secretary, the DFE, Jonathan Douglas CEO of The National Literacy Trust, and David Hayman from The National year of Reading 2026.
